Writing, producing and mixing the majority of his music, as well as directing and editing his music videos, Chris Birdd has developed a committed core fan base. Over the pandemic, with the unlimited creativity at his disposal, Chris released a song every two weeks, growing his audience to new heights. Thanks to this growth, the artist has received placements on the likes of Netflix, Peacock, Forbes, and the Jimmy Kimmel Show.
The LA-based singer’s most recent outing is the new single ‘get to know ya’ a teaser for the forthcoming EP ‘Ascension’. Opening with a soft acoustic guitar melody before Chris’ gentle and stylistically slight rough vocals enter with themes of love. The track gently builds, maintaining the same simple warmth as drums and further melodies enter the atmosphere. Chris’ vocals continue to be a point of solace in the mix, supported by the instrumentation but maintaining an understanding and affectionate tone. Breathing life into the listener from start to finish, the track wraps with a gentle fade returning to the beginning.
Chris adds, “The record ‘get to know ya’ is a vulnerable, emotional conversation with someone i fell in love with. It discusses the tough yet exciting process of getting to know someone beneath surface level.”
