CICERO drops powerful debut EP ‘ULTRAVIOLET’

Packed with fiery energy and a super distinctive flow, London’s very own CICERO has arrived on the scene with her debut EP ‘Ultraviolet’, and it’s a project that isn’t to be missed.

Besides offering up something unique and attention grabbing, CICERO delivers an important message of perseverance and inner-strength, as she opens up on her personal journey to finding herself. The singer-songwriter explains “‘Ultraviolet’ was birthed during a time in which I was finding myself. I was coming out of a really dark space, where I was refusing to look at things in life for what they really were. I suffered some major losses in my life and was using other things to ease my pain which were harming me more than helping. The only positive out of the pain was writing, something I had done for many years. Writing and creating melodies created a safe haven for me in many ways.”

The talent further notes, “Writing ‘Ultraviolet’ brought my emotions to the surface from depression to falling in love, and one of the most important things I realised was that I needed to trust myself again. Dreaming of UV lights is about the truth coming to light and trusting your intuition. I named the project Ultraviolet because the real CICERO was coming to light as I was following my intuition again and finding myself on the right path.”

Capturing an essence of both Jorja Smith and SZA, CICERO puts her own spin on hip-hop, incorporating elements of garage and R&B that will leave you in awe.

CICERO’s uber cool sound and aesthetic are more than enough to put her in the running as the next exciting talent to emerge from the UK.
