Cloud House release powerful new single ‘Still Here’

Glasgow’s Cloud House have revealed their new single, the shining and anthemic ‘Still Here’. The song is the first track to be lifted from their upcoming second EP, also titled ‘Still Here’, and due for release on November 1. The seven track collection tackles themes of grief, hope, resilience, childhood struggles, longing, loss, and personal growth. The EP marks a development in style and an evolution for the band, whose last EP ‘Days Changed’ was released in 2021.

The single ‘Still Here’ offers a sonic taster of the EP – its powerful and anthemic indie rock showcasing the band’s rich soundscape and mastery of crafting irresistible melodies. Beneath the soaring musicality lies a poignant and vulnerable message. ‘Still Here’ navigates the complexities of grief and the overwhelming feeling of helplessness when supporting a grieving friend.

The song was written by Patrick (lead guitar), for Conor (lead vocals) after the death of his mother. “I wrote the song during a time when Conor needed to be grieving on his own,” Patrick explains. “It came from a place of feeling really helpless – wanting to be there for your best friend but knowing that there’s nothing you can really do or say that makes anything easier. It’s about finding hope during the darkest times.”
