Touch and Go is the brainchild of British composer, producer and arranger David Lowe, best known for shaping the iconic sounds of British broadcasting through the BBC’s theme tunes.
Alongside marking the introduction to the news at ten for 25 years, Lowe made waves in the late 90s with Touch and Go, where he fused lounge, jazz and electronica. Reaching no. 3 on the UK singles chart in its original form, the track ‘Would You…?’ re-emerged courtesy of Campbell & Alchemist, becoming arguably the song of the summer in 2023.
Now, more than two decades later, Touch and Go is returning with a remixes project to celebrate the various incarnations of ‘Would You…?’. Tech house, Afrobeat, hip-hop, acid and techno all make appearances, with artists and languages from across the world.
David shares, “These remixes take ‘Would You..? ‘ to another level for me. Some amazing creativity and directions I’d never have imagined, that work so nicely with the original sounds. I’m so excited about the release coming very soon!”
