Cory Legendre dedicates the beautiful and emotional album ‘Reunited’ to his late parents Lois and Walt Legendre

Originally hailing from Maine but now residing in Texas, singer-songwriter Cory Legendre dedicates ‘Reunited’ to his late parents Lois and Walt Legendre.

His father passed away in 2012 and his mother passed away last year, 2023 and she didn’t want a funeral.

She told me her son to do something far more creative and so he took that thought and made an album honouring them, following the story of family, love and loss across 8 original songs that cross between various genres to tell the story the way he hopes they would’ve wanted it to be told.

This is Cory’s first album and return to music after suffering congestive heart failure near the end of his 20s and finally in his 30s, he is back to music because of the desire to do this tribute to his parents.

The album begins with the beautiful and emotionally stirring ‘Dressed in Black’ and the guitar riffs towards the end of the track are simply sublime.

‘The World Didn’t Stop’ has a bit more of a livelier feel to it however the lyrics are still raw and emotional.

‘Momma’s Coming Home’ is a truly heartfelt track with its gentle and folky melody and the beautiful vocal harmonies as the verses narrate all the joyous nostalgic times.

‘Life’s Not a Dead Road’ is the penultimate track which sees Cory deliver radiant melodies and emotionally powerful lyrics.

The album perfectly concludes with the vibrant track that is ‘Live Life All the Way’, which features a lively melody and picturesque lyrics about embracing life to the fullest.
