Could the Spacetime Satellites be the next B-52s? Read more to find out!

Back with their latest single ‘Ocean Boy’, Spacetime Satellites is the moniker from songwriter, producer and film-maker Rob Davis. For fans of the B-52s and They Might Be Giants, this post-punk meets new-wave track tells the story of a dog who likes to swim, in the ocean within a fin. Wacky and somewhat bizarre in places, this progressive number is deliriously unhinged yet as perfectly formed as fans have come to expect. A vibrant project within the world’s monotone colours, this is the best track The B-52s wish they had recorded!

Weaving through a nostalgic production, ‘Ocean Boy’ is a ray of sunshine that the world needs. Recognisable and distinctive to Spacetime Satellites, “Ocean Boy” features fascinating keyboard lines and surf-rock infused guitars. It feels very influenced by ‘Rock Lobster’ by the B-52s and a highly energised track from The Doors, just minus Jim Morisson infused vocals.
