CubsNocap drops brand new track ‘Lockdown’

19-year-old CubsNocap returns with his second single ‘Lockdown’, delivering a smooth, slick blend of UK rap and R&B. With extremely relevant and relatable lyricism, the track delves into the difficulties of lockdown and its effects on mental health. Showcasing his authenticity and natural charisma, his mix of rap and vocals glide across chilled, spacey synth. The track carries a similar sound to UK artists Not3s and WSTRN, and is a record you can’t help but keep on repeat.

Discussing his release, CubsNocap explains: “Project ‘Lockdown’ explores various themes. Besides showcasing my authenticity I use a juxtaposition to tap into the concepts of mental health, depression and current issues worldwide. Additionally I aim to awaken the reality of being trapped in the first official ‘Lockdown’, confused, isolated and restricted.”

Gloucester based CubsNocap is an influential member of the emerging record Label ‘NoCapBoys’ and is quickly establishing himself as a rising artist within the UK rap scene. CubsNocap’s polished style is seriously ear catching, and his journey is one to keep an eye on.
