Dana Luna releases anthemic new single “Mascara”

Manchester-hailing Dana Luna grew up with a passion for music. She was always checking out the latest band and, in turn, gained influence from them. In the later stages of Covid, she took the plunge into the industry she loves, and managed to write and record her own EP ‘Sorry, Did You Call Me ExTra?’ With a passion of being independent, Luna wants to be in control of all her music, and make sure it comes straight from the heart.

Luna is back with an anthemic new single entitled “Mascara.” Blurring punk, pop and indie-rock together, “Mascara” is distinctive-sounding new single. With pounding drums, riff-roaring guitars and irresistible vocal melodies, the track is sure to pick you up and leave you wanting more.

On the new release, Dana Luna says, “’Mascara’ was written in session at Mad Fox in Manchester with a little help from my producer Tayte, I knew I wanted at least one song on the album that was more reflective of growing up in Manchester & my old friends than on any previous relationship. It was the second to last song of the five (on the EP) that we recorded & I went verse by verse breaking down ideas from my Instagram & Snapchat memories. When we were a lot younger we used to scheme our way into clubs & bars with any given method we could think up, Mascara is a feel good nostalgic record about that first taste of freedom.”

We, for one, cannot wait to see where she’ll take this.
