Danny George marks sophomore EP with psychedelic visuals

As a producer and co-writer, Danny has previously worked alongside Grammy award-winning producers, gaining writing credits with Universal, EMI and Sony. Following his PRS Production Award win in 2019, he set his eyes on evolving from being a behind-the-scenes writer to shine a light on his own authentic artistry.

Now an established solo artist with an EP and a string of critically acclaimed singles under his belt – the producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has been turning heads with his signature brand of electronic indie production and effortlessly soulful vocal.

He has just dropped his second solo EP, entitled ‘Romance In High Definition’. The six track offering is a nostalgic selection that guide you through the narrative of a modern relationship – its pitfalls, the exhilarating highs and everything else in-between. To make the EP, Danny locked himself away in the beauty of the Swedish archipelago with a hard drive full of demos to finesse.

To mark the project Danny also unveiled a music video for lead single ‘Tell Me What You Want’ on the same day. The track is a sun-fuelled slice of uplifting electro pop, with an interesting jazz-funk feel.  Lyrically it boasts a refreshingly honest and simple message of dedication for a long-distance relationship. Speaking of the video, Danny says:

“I adore the 60s psychedelic period of pop music and I really wanted to incorporate that style into the video. Using the talents of Sebastian Waterson, we created an epic journey for the viewer to go through as the lyrical content of the track played out. Using the kaleidoscopic dream-like theme of the EP artwork, we followed the production as it switches from soul to electronic and expanded the animation to envelop and grow as it reaches its crescendo.”
