Dead Tooth Drops New Single ‘Birthday Boohoo’ and Hits the Road

Get ready for a darkly festive vibe as New York’s post-punk quintet Dead Tooth releases their latest single, “Birthday Boohoo”, out now via Greenway Records. Known for their gritty “rodeo-core” sound, Dead Tooth brings a unique intensity to the post-punk scene, weaving abrasive hooks, bold lyrics, and searing saxophone into an unmissable experience. The single, produced by Tom Beaujour (Nada Surf, Pom Pom Squad), is available on 7” vinyl, featuring a remix by Oliver Ackermann from A Place To Bury Strangers on the B-side.

“Birthday Boohoo” captures the band’s collaborative spirit, with every member—Zach Ellis (guitar/vocals), James Duncan (bass), Taylor Mitchell (guitar), Ginno Tacsiat (drums), and John Stanesco (saxophone/EWI)—bringing something to this haunting track. The band describes the track as “a Frankenstein-level horror” and eagerly embraces the remix by Ackermann, bringing an extra layer of dark allure just in time for Halloween.

As Dead Tooth continues their European tour this November, the UK will get a taste of the band’s unhinged live energy on three special dates:

  • 15th November – London, Shacklewell Arms
  • 16th November – Manchester, Big Hands
  • 17th November – Nottingham, Saltbox
