Demi Jordanae’s ‘Final Warning’ is a call to action to pursue your desires

Demi Jordanae

Demi Jordanae‘s single, ‘Final Warning’, is a potent anthem of tenacity and resilience. It’s not just a song; it’s a clarion call to action – a call to take action before it’s too late.

A notable quality of ‘Final Warning’ is its lyrics. Jordanae pulls no punches, immediately setting the tone with the resounding phrase, “Stand your ground now”. This is not just a simple directive, but a message interwoven with courage and determination, urging listeners to pursue their desires.

The theme of the song is beautifully reinforced by the instrumentals, primarily driven by the unyielding presence of horns. The persistent nature of the horns gives a sense of urgency, a call to take action before it’s too late, thus resonating with the track’s title, ‘Final Warning’. The song can be perceived as a ticking clock, every note a second closer to the time of reckoning, making the message that much more compelling.

Jordanae’s powerful voice, combined with the vibrant instrumentals, ensures that ‘Final Warning’ leaves an indelible impression on listeners. As a result, it’s more than just a song—it’s an experience, a rallying cry, and a testament to the unwavering human spirit.

Demi Jordanae’s musical journey began from a young age when she started performing covers and writing her own songs as a DIY singer-songwriter. She soon collaborated with producers from the UK and North America, exploring different elements of alternative/contemporary R&B and pop music without confining herself to any one genre.

Following her most-favoured soulful self-release ‘Smell Like You’, she joins all-female LA-based label ‘Powher Sound’ in 2022 and featured on their debut album, the first multi-genre album produced/performed by women. The featured track ‘It’s Never No’ was produced by Muse L’Artiste (Grammy member & GrammyU mentor).

Demi Jordanae’s first self-released EP ‘How Did We Get Here’, created during the 2020 lockdown and released towards the end of 2022, was played multiple times on BBC Music and garnered over 100,000 streams.
