Diego Federico releases infatuating new single ‘Drop It’

Diego Federico, born in Bolzano, Italy, grew up bilingual in German and Italian and harboured a creative spark ignited by music, dance, makeup, and fashion. Learning piano and singing in choirs, his upbringing led to his graduation from the Performing Center Austria, before kicking off his career with appearances on TV shows and in musical theatre. Garnering recognition from his participation in the Live Shows of Starmania, Diego has since released multiple enticing singles, constantly refining his sound and drawing in new audiences for his unique alternative pop.

Diego’s newest release is the anthemic bounding dynamism of ‘Drop It’, performing over percussive synth arrangements, throbbing bass pulses and a dark and sultry performance. Diego rides the line between anger and confidence through the lens of romanticism, directly accusing his love of dropping his heart without a second thought. Blinded by devotion and pain his infatuation is called into question through gloomy atmospheres, with each pluck and airy pad diving deeper into the abyss he stands above. It’s performative, forceful and a testament to Diego’s songwriting talent as he continues to challenge the sound of pop.

The artist adds, “Have you ever been hurt by the person you love the most? You cannot really put it into words, but all you want to do is run away.”
