‘Digging Your Own Grave’ sees Patio Gas deliver energetic instrumentals, catchy drum beats and vocals that have a Britpop quality to them

Patio Gas are made up of life-long friends Jack Melvin, Lewis Fernyhough and Adam Heath.

They met at school and have been performing together ever since.

Comprising only two guitarists and a drummer, they use vintage synthesizers and a virtual orchestra to fill in the gaps in their sound.

With a musical manifesto dedicated to ‘The Three E’s’ – eclecticism, experimentation and electronica – their songs seek to explore the trials and tribulations of modern, working-class life through the lens of their everyday experiences.

‘Digging Your Own Grave’ delivers energetic instrumentals, catchy drum beats and lyrics and vocals that have a Britpop quality to them whilst also being more then that.

This track is taken from their recently released debut album, which is also called ‘Digging Your Own Grave.’

Lead singer Jack Melvin says that their latest single ‘Digging Your Own Grave’ is a song about the frustration you feel knowing you must move on from a stagnant situation when you have neither the means or motivation to do so.
