Singer-songwriter Donny Mac is an impressive musician with an extraordinary story. Working as a garbage man, Donny was left for dead in a terrible car accident at the age of 19. He turned to music to find healing and solace. Years later, his wife left, close family members passed away (including his father), and Donny Mac left music behind. Unable to stay away from his love of musical expression, Donny Mac is back with his debut album, produced by Jim Riley (Rascal Flatts) and mixed by GRAMMY winner Sean Neff.
A true storyteller, Donny was given a second chance at life, and he channels all of these complex emotions into his music. For example, from his debut album, the song ‘Home’ tackles important themes of pride and false idols, but Donny ultimately pleads to be taken home, back to his true self. Also on ‘A Journey Through The Story’, the song ‘Teach Me To Love’ addresses Donny’s fears – being hurt, let down, and lost – and his desire to know how to love purely. These topics are written about honestly and captivate audiences with just one listen.
