Drew Davies announces new album alongside impassioned single ‘You’re The Only One’

Originally hailing from the North York Moors, and later spending time in London, Glasgow-based songwriter Drew Davies is backed with an abundance of both radio support and live notoriety from across the UK.

Now, alongside the announcement of his most expansive work to date, album ‘Holloway Nights’, comes fresh teaser single ‘You’re The Only One’. Balancing energised passion with perceptive and mellow delivery, the new offering showcases further builds on the signature earnestness Drew has built over the course of his recent releases.

Opening with a gritty backdrop laced with an ethereal electric guitar, the track settles into a love-filled alt-rock ballad, Drew blending a feeling of fulfilment and joy with a slightly gloomy sense woven within the delivery. There is a strong sense of emotion throughout, presented with a warm sentiment and gorgeous musicianship.

Drew shares on the new single and upcoming album, “If Holloway Nights were a series of diary entries on the life cycle of a relationship, then ‘You’re the Only One’ would be the first entry. I wrote the original chords late one night after a chance encounter caused a frisson in me, the words followed shortly behind…It encapsulates the warmth, rapture and uncertainty felt when we first have that romantic fire lit in us. It’s my truest work to date.”
