Drew Knight has landed with ‘Stars’

Drew Knight and Bradley Denniston met, like many people nowadays, over the internet. They were taking production classes together when an idea sparked for their new single Stars. It releases today and feels like an instant classic already, due to it’s retro-yet-modern feel which is hard to ignore. It’s the type of track you could easily hear during the end credits of a movie.

Stars is definitely a product of it’s time, but retains a unique style that emulates the greats within the synthwave genre. Names like The Midnight and Kavinsky come to mind immediately, but this song adds another level of accessibility. It wouldn’t sound too out of place in a David Guetta set at Coachella either! The best of both worlds.

The future looks bright for Drew Knight, and Bradley Denniston adds another great song to his already impressive list of credits to date – including the soundtrack to The Lego Movie! This is the first of three songs between the pair, and if the rest are anything like this, we’re all in for a treat.

As Drew sets himself up to chase his dream, he remarks on the track:

“Stars is about obsessing over a dream and realizing that the possibility of it becoming real is overwhelming and all-consuming.”
