Up-and-coming Egyptian artist pre kai ro releases latest track ‘Baby Boy’

Cairo’s king of Hip-hop and R&B returns with new single

Egyptian singer-songwriter pre kai ro has just dropped his latest single, ‘Baby Boy’ – a moody R&B track that explores the trappings of fame and its power to destroy a love relationship.

In a style not unlike R&B kings dvsn,  ‘Baby Boy’ – with its melodic piano beat – is a track that possesses an innate ability to tear at the heart strings.

The melancholic vocals from pre kai ro is so simultaneously captivating and emotive, you’ll be wishing the song were longer than it’s 2:16 runtime.

These heartfelt vocals become all the more more profound when looking at the track’s lyricism.

For ‘Baby Boy’ deviates from the standard male R&B trope of singing about a woman. Rather, the track is from the perspective of a woman in love with pre kai ro. And, although she loves him for who he is, his newfound fame is driving an ever-widening chasm between them. In the end, she’s left wishing things could return to how they were prior to his success.

Pre Kai Ro said of the track: “It’s about the complexity of balancing a turbulent artist lifestyle with a committed relationship.

Pre Kai Ro is without a doubt on the precipice of success. His inaugural single for 2019, ‘King’ charted on Apple Music’s Hot Tracks playlist.

In terms of numbers, single ‘Blink Twice’ has surpassed 700,000 streams on Spotify. Meanwhile, the audio video for breakout track  ‘Cold’ has hit two million Youtube views.

‘Baby Boy’ is available to stream and download now.
