OUT NOW – Listen Here!

Burgeoning Costa rica trio Elektra Stroke are back this year to unleash synth-pop banger ‘La Noche‘, and it’s both vibrantly upbeat and another milestone in their rise to the top. Written with universal love in mind, ‘La Noche’ is a bright and nostalgic track urging listeners to celebrate love in all forms and treasure the emotional connections in their lives. This song mastered down at the legendary Abbey Road Studios by Frank Arkwright (known for work with Arcade Fire, The Smiths, New Order), giving way to the fun 80’s sound it carries. As the summer comes into view, discover Elektra Stroke and their brand-new track ‘La Noche’ – you won’t regret it.

Elektra Stroke is a Costa Rican rock outfit blending the raw emotional energy of post-punk with the glitzy textures of synth-pop and the sleek edge of modern new wave. With echoes from the legacies of New Order, Joy Division, The Cure, and Pet Shop Boys, this power trio crafts music that is both retro and forward-looking—melodic, atmospheric, and packed with emotion.

The emerging Elektra Stroke has performed at some of Costa Rica’s most renowned festivals, including Wila Fest, Rock Fest, and the Semana U at the University of Costa Rica. Internationally, they’ve also made waves with virtual appearances at Brazil’s Festival Under Latinoamericano and Mexico’s Electro Freak Show Dark Music Festival.

Their debut EP Artificial earned them a nomination at the ACAM Awards in 2020, and they were again recognized in 2024 as Best New Artist and for Best Alternative Rock Song with their single ‘Sálvame del Tiempo’. Their music has been broadcast on both national and international stations, reaching audiences in Mexico, Argentina, and beyond.

Elektra Stroke is a voice for dreamers and nightwalkers, if you’re into it – join them while they’re breaking through the noise.
