Rising R&B star Eloise Massimo exudes cool, sultry vibes in her new music video for ‘Throwback’. The nostalgic, retro shots see Eloise showing off her sassy side in a selection of creative scenes located both in her boudoir and out on the town. The alluring track carries chilled beats and Eloise’s distinctive honeyed vocals, as she narrates the realisation of being over a past relationship in a playful and empowering manner.
Discussing the track, Eloise said: “The story behind ‘Throwback’ is a euphoric celebration of the joys of moving on to pastures new. I was really inspired to write this song shortly after bumping into someone I used to have a lot of love for but realising that I felt absolutely nothing for them anymore. Therefore, I wanted to write about how amazing it feels to come out the other side of a heartbreak with clear vision and to finally see the other person that you were hung up on for so long for what they really are…’Throwback’ was produced by Jack Vasiliou who’s worked extensively with the up & coming R&B singer Sipprell, and also produced my previous track Poison.”
Eloise adds: “The visuals featured within my social media promotional campaign showcase a Vintage-retro theme inspired by the narrative of my new song, I worked on this project alongside an all female creative direction, graphic design and styling team to capture some timeless visuals that mirrored the songs robust message of independence & self assurance, a music video is currently in the works.”
The twenty-two year-old talent burst onto the R&B scene earlier this year, and draws her inspiration from some of R&B’s greatest female talents, including Snoh Alegra, Amy Winehouse and SZA. Her three releases this year have seen glowing reactions, building her a strong and loyal fanbase that are drawn to her natural charisma and the authenticity of her lyricsism.
