Emergency Escape Plan and Octave Lissner showcase ethereal single ‘The Page’

Comprising of French composer and bass player, Jordi Authier, and independent producer Howard Whiddett, known for his work with Jamiroquai, Emergency Escape Plan is a duo crafting a collective of unique musicians. With music that provides an invitation to dance and meditate, the likes of saxophonist Charlie Burg, guitarist Robin Espagnet and pianist Leo Coleman have helped Emergency Escape Plan to emerge with a fascinating sound.

Their latest single is ‘The Page’, featuring the vocals of Octave Lissner. After the first moments of tranquil electronica, we dive into a bouncy soundscape of acoustic guitar and grooving bass merged with sparkling synths and downtempo drums. The track continues to follow this meeting of electronic and natural sounds, developed by Octave’s flowing performance holding the music together. As the track progresses, the soundscape grows into a gorgeous idyll of pumping atmospheres and gleaming frequencies.

Emergency Escape Plan add, ”When I wrote the song, I had in mind a story, I did not say anything to Octave; but when he wrote the lyrics, it was the same story.”

Paris-hailing songwriter Octave Lissner gained recognition right from debut, with single ‘Silver Rain’ remaining a fan favourite. Live, he has opened Mr. Big at the iconic Koko and become a resident of Le Baiser Salé, alongside his writing achieving best composition in ‘The Best Musical Mind’ competition.
