Emerging artist rapta releases self-produced ‘Seasick’

Young singer and producer Rapta is one of the hottest talents emerging out of Boston right now, already having built up considerable buzz with his debut album Leo in 2017, as well as his 2019 single ‘Farewell’, produced by Internet Money’s super-producers Nick Mira and KC Supreme.

Now, the up-and-comer is back with his second release for this year, self-produced gem ‘Seasick’. During the single’s three-minute duration, which is out via 2DEX, Rapta displays his amazing versatility as well as production skills, crafting an electronic/hip-hop masterpiece. The smooth instrumental that slowly builds up, reaches a climax and then elegantly fades out, perfectly complements his emotional singing, a result that is as stunning as it is intricate.

“Seasick was inspired by my constant flux of emotions due to uncertainty,” explains Rapta. “The title serves as a metaphor for the way the record makes you feel and the way I personally felt in the process of making it. The song breeds a trilogy taking the listener on experience of ups and downs; there are three entirely different moods and perspectives in each of the parts.”
