Emerging producer smokingsforcoolpeople sets the stage with Zara Sykes on new single ‘Excuse Me’

With a distinctively smooth and enticing sound that seems to pay homage to the classic 80s era of R&B, emerging producer smokingsforcoolpeople is now looking to establish himself as a breath of fresh air with the wonderfully sultry new release ‘Excuse Me’.

Teaming up with guest vocalist Zara Sykes, and co-composer and guitarist Ben Bartlett for the release, ‘Excuse Me’ instantly grabs you with its warm and vibrant direction. With the occasionally nod to a bolder and harder hip-hop aesthetic thrown in for good measure, he certainly creates this multifaceted listen from start to finish.

Speaking about the new offering, he said, “This track is an ode to and paying homage to Zapp and Roger’s ‘Computer Love’. Both of us are children of the 80s who grew up listening to songs such as this along with the 90s R&B and hip-hop. We wanted to take a track like ‘Computer Love’ with all its technological prowess for its time, and to put a contemporary feel to it.”

smokingsforcoolpeople will also release his new mixtape ‘Damian’ later this year. Check out ‘Excuse Me’ below.
