Etaoin returns with brand new acoustic track ‘Sick Of Me’

Irish singer Etaoin’s latest single, ‘Sick Of Me‘, follows an argument she had with her best friend Florence, using just her own belting vocals along with a relentless acoustic guitar to tell the heartbreaking story. Channelling the emotion of the falling out through the intensity of the lyrics, the London based songwriter worked with producer Joe Rubel to create a stripped back instrumental that would compliment Etaoin’s powerful voice.

Etaoin explains: I felt like I’d caused the problem and would tell myself there was no point in trying to fix it because the friendship was over and I just needed to get over it – but I would lie in bed at night and write diary entries addressed to her on my iPhone notes and then never send them.”

Releasing her debut EP, Bedroom Walls, last year to critical acclaim, this latest single is the first taste of next EP release, I Hate Everyone (But I Don’t Mind You). Looking to expand and develop her sound to include more pop focused melodies with her acoustic-folk style, ‘Sick Of Me‘ looks to push her to an even wider audience.
