Since their return to releasing music last autumn, South East London two-piece Me And The Moon have been busy headlining festivals and showcasing their new music at various live shows.
Now, the pair are ready to release their latest instalment in the shape of the alt-folk single ‘Fast Lane’ via Luna Sky Recordings.
Tinged with warming guitar melodies, ‘Fast Lane’ sweeps you off your feet with summer-infused instrumentation and the sweet, dulcet tones of Tamara Grzegorzek.
A fusion of lush guitars and cushioned drum beats, the single harnesses Me And The Moon’s signature sound, enveloping listeners through the soothing notes and delicate blends that orchestrate a glowing single.
“Fast Lane is one of those dreaded lockdown songs that every songwriter has written,” explain the duo. “But its actually about the positives we took from that time; being forced to stop and look at where things are going and realising that you need to take ‘take your foot off the gas’ to enjoy life and not just always be looking for what’s next. It’s about how important it is to be in the present.”
Often seen across London playing their loveable tunes in various venues, Me And The Moon’s highly energetic shows with their full five piece band are a thrilling experience.
Also offering softer, acoustic-led performances for more low-key and intimate nights, the duo are quickly becoming a must-see in the capital. And with their names cropping up on various festival lineups, it’s evident that Me And The Moon are a pairing beginning to take centre stage.
