After their 2013 breakthrough single ‘Alligator’, featured on debut EP ‘Soap Carv’, avant-indie duo Febueder have spent over a decade expanding their musical vision. Acclaim from reputable industry tastemakers across their career has continually shown the Ascot-hailing instrumentalist Kieran Godfrey and percussionist Samuel Keysel to be songwriters with a rich musical palette.
Returning with their first release since 2023’s album Follow The Collonade, Febueder’s second full-length project, the duo have unveiled a new single ‘Valley Of Kins’. Laying a bed of swirling percussive plucks and warming brass arrangements, the track creates an idyllic atmosphere, blending a raw and natural feeling with subtle electronic arrangements. Picturesque lead vocals emerge from the flowing soundscape, delivering poetic lyricism without overshadowing the vast tapestry in the instrumentation below. There’s a faint yet profound complexity to the arrangement, the understated ethereality steadily moving from phrase to phrase.
Kieran shares, “Valley Of Kins is a story of salvation, closure and new beginnings.”
