Finding Purpose through Music: Composer Didier Recloux Releases New Album

Welcoming an exciting new artist to the music scene, we are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of Didier Recloux’s album, Monsieur Linh and His Child. As a highly acclaimed film and television composer, Recloux brings his unique sound to this soundtrack inspired by the French novella of the same name by Philippe Claudel.

Set for release on 07/03/24, the album is a must-have addition to any music lover’s playlist. With pieces that beautifully capture the essence of the novella, Monsieur Linh and His Child is a delightful blend of character themes, city and village sounds, war themes, and emotional highs and lows. It is a true testament to the artistry and talent of Recloux, and has even received praise from Claudel himself, who described it as “sensitive and subtle”. To give listeners a taste of what’s to come, Recloux has released the lead single ‘First Walk’ along with a stunning music video.

The song, which will be available for streaming and as a free download with optional donations to Nordoff and Robbins – the UK’s largest music therapy charity, gives a glimpse into the emotional journey of Monsieur Linh. The music video, with its sweeping visuals and bustling cityscapes, perfectly captures the themes of isolation and loneliness that are portrayed in the single. Didier Recloux, a Belgian-born and London-based composer, has made a name for himself with his unique approach to classical composition. With influences from pop and rock music, as well as some of the greatest composers of all time such as Ennio Morricone and Maurice Jarre, Recloux’s music is a beautiful blend of styles that will captivate listeners.

The album’s source material, the French novella Monsieur

Linh and His Child, was published in 2005 and tells the story of a refugee who finds an unlikely friendship with a widower after being forced to leave his home and people due to war. As the story unfolds, readers will be taken on an emotional rollercoaster as the devastating truths behind Monsieur Linh’s journey are revealed. Don’t miss out on this stunning album. Add Didier Recloux’s Monsieur Linh and His Child to your playlists and experience the power of music in storytelling. The album will be available on all platforms from 07/03/24.
