fknsyd is Sydney Fisher’s musical project. Syd lets listeners into her world as a method to self-heal, share happiness, and share her open flaws and internal difficulties by addressing the emotions of daily life in the most personal way possible. Syd moved to Austin, Texas to advance her ideas after spending a few years perfecting her sound in her native West Palm Beach, Florida.
Thanks to her collaborations with prominent electronic music artists such as Hex Cougar, Slander, RL Grime, Rezz, Wavedash, and Manila Killa, Syd has gained a large audience worldwide due to her exceptional talent and unique vocal quality. She has worked hard over the years to establish herself in the highly competitive electronic music industry. Her impressive body of work includes original compositions such as “Silo” and covers like “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This),” which provide a glimpse into her artistic direction and current sound. However, her ultimate goal is to transition from being a featured artist to a fully autonomous solo artist, carving out her own niche in the scene.
Her newly released debut mixtape, Taste.test, is a significant step towards achieving her dream of a thriving solo career beyond vocal features. The mixtape consists of nine dynamic songs that collectively convey a coherent message, representing her artistic vision.
