Francis La Lune is infamous on the London live scene. He first brought his music over to England in late 2020 and started studying at Abbey Road’s School of Music Production, spending two years refining his production skills and developing his musical talent. He quickly gained a reputation in London by playing as many open mic nights and gigs as possible.
His debut single “Home” is a heartwarming offering that is sure to make a lasting impression. The track fully showcases the power of Francis’s voice, with only simple but effective rhythm guitar for backup. His emotional but infectious vocal lines work hand in glove with emotionally penned lyrics, forming a formidable partnership that will fully immerse you into his musical world.
Speaking about the track, he says: “I’ve been feeling very nostalgic lately. I recorded this song with some of my closest friends sometime around Christmas last year. This recording makes me feel a little closer to where I’m from. What I’m after, I think, it’s a childhood memory, the smell of trees, obliviousness. Shed the layers from an overheated way of living.”
Francis’s music is his identity, his form of expression and a safe space that he can find solace in meaning that his music is always heartfelt and emotionally-penned. With such a reputation, we can’t wait to see where he’ll take this.
