Fraser Morgan is back with his latest offering, ‘The Girl In The Library’, a genre-bending folk-rap anthem produced by Joel Scrimshaw. The track discusses a short-term relationship complete with Celtic instrumentation and a glowing vocal performance. Lending influences from Jamie T, Nizlopi, and Frank Turner, Fraser has already been supported by Notion, Atwood, and BBC Introducing.
Discussing ‘The Girl In The Library’, Fraser explains:
“The track is like a weird rappy Celtic-folk one and is 100% word-for-word a true story of, unrequited love I guess. The type of love you never get to see through to its end. I carried that heavy feeling with me for a very long time, but I ended up being able to turn that feeling into a positive lesson of which brought me to where I am today and I couldn’t be more grateful.”
The single is an anthemic crowd warmer for the upcoming EP, Songs About Girls, which was supported by over 70 crowd funders in 24 hours. Having performed at Bearded Theory, Hidden Door Festival, Leigh Folk Festival, and Boomtown, Fraser’s music is tailor-made for festival sing-alongs.
