Friends Don’t Die delivers indie-rock tones with ‘Slowdown’

Subtly is always appreciated in music, and LA based Friends Don’t Die brings this in spades. Combining a drone-filled, almost surf-rock sound, his music is easy listening and also easy to resonate with. Catching onto things that go on in his personal life, this moniker presents a problem with life getting ahead of him and just needing to be reminded to in fact ‘Slowdown’, in what is presented in a melancholic, catchy package in this instance.

Giving the nod to Daywave but with a slightly less ‘in your face’ approach, ‘Slowdown’ is certainly a track that will get your head nodding and your voice singing along to what you can imagine would be a huge song in a live aspect.
