Gabby Rivers’ latest single is the ferocious grunge-pop anthem ‘Lipstick Karma’. The Suffolk-based artist dials up the angst and delivers a relatable, catchy track that crashes together venom and melodic sparkle.
Gabby’s already garnered attention from the press and radio, quickly becoming a formidable force and opening for Congratulations, Coach Party and Ellie Dixon.
The new music does not hold back, with bite, boldness and just a bit of chaotic intent. Chorus-drenched guitar leads the listener towards an explosive chorus. Polished, intentional production gives just the right amount of grit.
Gabby explains, “The single Lipstick Karma comes from a time when I was pouring everything into a relationship. I truly felt like I helped that person grow—I was there through it all. But when my mental health declined, they used that against me. It turned toxic, and I eventually walked away.
After the breakup, it felt like karma hit them hard. I got this weird, validating feeling, like my conscience was saying, ‘Told you so.’
