Collaborating with hip-hop newcomer Nazsheem, Gayathri’s latest single is the seductive and sultry ‘Low Low’. Her romantic lyricism is performed with a calm and enticing tone, able to lean into the atmospheric and rhythmic elements of the beat for a spellbinding sound. Infectious and playful, the chorus is a sun-drenched swirl, before diving in Nazsheem’s nostalgic and dynamic flows take the stage. Diving into the single, Gayathri explains, “‘Low Low’ hit the ground running in 2022, when Jisoo, a friend & collaborator of Gayathri’s sent her the song’s distinct flirty beat. She was convinced “Gayu” could truly set it on fire – and that she did. The song itself, a one-night stand, was recorded entirely in the comfort of her at-home closet studio, emulating a true sneaky-link energy throughout each verse. Partnering with rapper-singer Nazsheem who Gayathri first connected with in high-school, the track is elevated to heights of allure and charisma, also speaking to the natural synergy between all the song’s collaborators.
