George FitzGerald is back with ‘Burns’

British producer, George FitzGerald, was one of the leading lights of the deep house summer of 2015, with his debut album Fading Love being one of those albums that always snuck its way onto stereos as the summer evenings started to close in. Since then he has released the Update mini-mix earlier this year, but today delivers ‘Burns‘, his first new song for a little while.

Burns‘ is a burbling house track that emanates both excitement and patience, sparkling from the first second in its lively synths, but taking its time to build to its deeper and more resonant tones. FitzGerald says of ‘Burns‘: “The track started life as a kind of strange studio experiment making a beatless chant out of loads of contrasting vocal samples, and then morphed over time. It works as a moment on a dancefloor but at heart it’s meant to be quite meditative”. That origin can certainly be heard in the luscious and engrossing track. Listen below.

Having already proven himself as a more than capable DJ, FitzGerald will be unveiling his first ever live show in performances over the next few months in London and Amsterdam. It’s likely this will expand into a much bigger tour once news of a full album is out.
