Ghostpoet reveals new single ‘Dopamine If I Do’

Ghostpoet will release his fourth album, Dark Days & Canapés, this Friday, and today he’s given us one final preview before we get to hear the whole thing. ‘Dopamine If I Do‘ announces itself on glacial pianos, but is soon overwhelmed by a sinister bottom end. Obaro Ejimiwe‘s unmistakable voice sidles in, serene and sardonic, “what’s it all to you?/ troubles of your own/ maybe in time you’ll tell me why you walk the Earth all alone.” And with that, the gritty-yet-lively urban picture is framed, and continues to develop subtly over its three and a half minutes. Listen to ‘Dopamine If I Do‘ below.

Dark Days & Canapés comes out through Play It Again Sam this Friday 18th August. It follows up his Mercury-nominated Shedding Skin from 2015.
