Gia Ford Unveils Haunting New Single ‘A Car Crash For Two’

Sheffield-born artist Gia Ford is back with her new single ‘A Car Crash For Two’, bringing her stunning vocals and synth backing further than ever with a new pop-culture inspired aesthetic. Developing on from her earlier records‘Poster Boy’ and ‘Murder In The Dark’, the new single is a haunting, introspective allegory for relationships that have had their brakes suddenly cut.

It’s a song about toxic love – about how sometimes people get used to their car crash romances, so much so that it becomes normal and romanticised -even masochistic – to the point that they descend together into this alternate world.” Says Molly McCormick, assuming the moniker of Gia Ford. “It’s interesting to me how fine the lines are between pain, pleasure, love and hate – and maybe it’s because they cannot exist without the threat of one another.”

Taking influence from artists including Fleetwood Mac, Nick Cave, and Radiohead, Gia weaves her dark-pop style into her sound while going down a more alternative route than ever before. Arriving alongside an eye-popping new music video, ‘A Car Crash For Two’ is the next step in Gia’s musical journey.
