‘Great Again’ delivers funky melodies and dreamy vocals, as Windshake present a taste of what is to come

Windshake are a Bristol based psychedelic-funk-prog-pop five-piece.

They were originally formed in Wales but are now overrun by Devonshire folk and an Irish Dane from Spain.

Their new single ‘Great Again’ was written during lockdown for an imaginary party and has lyrics about throwing stuff off a mountain to relieve one’s self from modern day life.

Guitarist and singer Sam Elliott explains how this song is “the yearning to get back to social life, the song is a happy bouncy tune, “head bobbing” even. It has a catchy melody, catchy guitar parts, and synthesizers to make your ears fall into the creamy dancey vibe.”

Following on from the band’s debut album ‘Waking Moment’, the track is the first step in a stylistic move away from the folkier elements which defined that release and into a more up-beat, dance inspired sound.

‘Great Again’ delivers funky melodies and dreamy vocals, as Windshake present a taste of what is to come.

The track also features a catchy chorus and energetic guitar riffs aplenty.
