Havannah reveals signature sound in debut single “Hope It Hurts”

Birmingham-hailing Havannah has already gained an infamous musical reputation within her city. Her infectious live energy has captivated gig-going audiences at the likes of The Sunflower Lounge, The Flapper and the 02 Institute to name a few – and we’re not surprised. Havannah’s unique and signature sound creates the perfect blending point between contemporary and new and pushes genre barriers as far as they’ll go.

Her latest single “Hope It Hurts” fully showcases her lauded sound. Instrumentally the track is hard-hitting with thrashing drums, driving bass lines and squealing guitars. Her vocals land softly and work hand in glove with well-penned and emotional lyrics.

Speaking about the track, she says: “’Hope It Hurts’ is about finding the strength within to stand up for yourself when you feel that someone is treating you as though you’re a fool, or as if you are below them. This song is from the perspective of someone who’s had enough of being treated that way and feels that it’s time for a change.

With tracks such as this, we believe 2023 Havannah will go straight to the top.
