Earlier in the summer we had the pleasure of bringing you the debut single from London-via-Essex group TABOU, called ‘Honey‘. That song has consistently been lighting up our summer evenings and it is with no small amount of excitement that we now have another track from the group to partner with it, ‘Upgrade‘.
Much like their debut track, ‘Upgrade‘ employs subtly tropical undertones and creates a balmy atmosphere, into which soulful vocals glide, playfully interacting with the stuttering beat and sparkling guitar. The chemistry between the members resounds out of every click and quaver, and, considering TABOU only formed at the start of the year, it’s astounding just how accomplished they are already. With this kind of confidence, and with people like DJ Eddy Temple-Morris already raving about their modern twist on R&B, it feels safe to say that this is just the beginning for the foursome.
