The latest from London newcomers heavy wild is a single entitled ‘Death Dreams’. The band combines post-punk, chill-wave and grungy lo-fi and fills it with heaps of emotion and passion for a track that’ll captivate your listening. A heartfelt performance from singer Wolfgang Harte, nostalgic synths and a gritty yet idyllic guitar line. It creates a haunting atmosphere with anthemic intentions, showing a departure from previous releases whilst keeping all the raw elements they are known for.
On the new single, the band share: “This song marks a slight shift in style from the earlier singles with the energy of the track mirroring the spirit in which it was written, after partying in Montreal last summer, and the emotions and themes it deals with such as grief and the hedonism which can accompany it.”
Debuting in 2022 with single ‘Special Powers’, heavy wild have gone from strength to strength, building a following a enhancing their signature sound alongside strong visuals. Their first live experience came at the end of 2022 in Paris supporting Highschool, but have since completed a run of dates in the UK and Ireland supporting Swim Deep.
