Heijmat releases Ramsesboomboom remix of recent single ‘Where Will It Takes’

Under the moniker of Heijmat, multi-platinum award-winning engineer and producer Huub Reijnders has spent the last year releasing kaleidoscopic alternative electronic music. Garnering recognition from Electronic Rising and New Music Friday, the Dutchman has grown a worldwide fan base.

Now, fresh off the back of his illustrious debut EP Lost & Found, Heijmat has unveiled a remix from Ramsesboomboom of his single ‘Where Will It Take Us’. Intricately arranging a sleek electronic ambience, the production duo extends the track, pulling apart the ensemble of plucky synth design and cascading layers of percussion for a track that unfolds more steadily than the original. By the point of climax, however, the music has lost none of its fuzzy electronic energy, with pounding drums, pulsating synth pads and vocal processing turning the ethereal atmosphere into a vibrant dance.

Huub explains, “I discovered Ramsesboomboom through a track I mixed on which Erik Buschman played drums. When they put out their single ‘Uppaclass’ I immediately fell for their quirky and infectious sound, and reached out to Erik to see if they wanted to do a remix for me; they agreed and I couldn’t be happier with their take on ‘Where Will It Take Us’. I think they took the track to a whole new level and I can’t wait to see how people react to it!”

Erik Buschmann of Ramsesboomboom adding, “The track and vocals from MRYN had such an inviting nice vibe – we started messing around with the vocals first. While searching for a new sound we were scrolling through a granular synth. That scrolling sound eventually became the foundation for this remix.”
