Hip Hop Trio 2U4U share their poignant new single ‘High School’

The rugby-based trio 2U4U have released their heartfelt new signal ‘High School’; the next track off their EP set to drop in March 2022.

The single tells the story of when the group’s MC My Rugema met three important people in his life; his girlfriend, founding 2U4U member ATMA, and his mother. He’s supported by vocalist Micahel Bird who does a fantastic job of adding to the emotion with his soulful chorus and yearning backing vocals in the final verse. The production is drenched in ethereal nostalgia, reminiscent of graduation-era Kanye West creating the perfect backing for My Rugema’s poignant narrative.

In a world of often homogenous hip hop, ‘High School‘ is a beautifully crafted piece of music that does well to stand out from the crowd.

2U4U is made up of two brothers ATMA and Ranbir on production, and rapper My Rugema. Dive into their latest offering below.
