From the producing power pair that brought us last month’s ‘Big Box Little Box’ is this Latin fuelled new single entitled ‘Hips Don’t Lie.’ Not to be confused with the previous Shakira hit, ‘Hips Don’t Lie,’ is a remarkable addition to Delakwiz and Don Dante’s (better known as The Remix Factory) expansive discography.
The track came about one day in the studio when the duo decided to explore a genre they hadn’t ventured near before – Dance, Reggaeton, House. It was fabricated from the most rudimentary elements of a Delakwiz bassline on a midi keyboard before being developed into its final stages by two Latin artists who feature on the song. Yet the twosome still felt as though ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ was missing something and, after letting it fester for 8 months, they came back to the track and knew it needed the legendary Fatman Scoop on the track to complete it. Thanks to a mutual friend connection, The Remix Factory managed to get a Fatman Scoop feature and thus the song was finished.
After flying out to Malta for a week with a 20 member crew of cameras, models and friends, ‘Hips Don’t Lie,’ music video was additionally complete and you can watch the final product here. This track is arguably The Remix Factory’s best to date and provides the ideal soundtrack for the perfect 2023 summer.
