Leeds Indie-Rock band ‘The Marble Arches’ releases their lead single ‘Johnny Galecki’ taken from upcoming EP ‘Heads Up’. Mixed by Barny Barnicott (Arctic Monkeys, Sam Fender, Kasabian) and mastered by Frank Arkwright (Arcade Fire, Joy Division).
‘Johnny Galecki’ confronts celebrity culture and how it can damage the way you perceive the world. The allure of the lifestyle and idolisation of celebrities is embedded into people from a young age, ‘Johnny Galecki’ exemplifies how what you crave can and will eventually destroy you. The lyrics are Juxtaposed with a hypnotic bass hook that entwines with G Funk influenced guitar lines, thudding keys and a deep pocket beat that frames frontman Harry Wainwright Little’s dynamic vocal performance.

Formed in 2017 as a collective of Leeds’ finest musicians and misfits, ‘The Marble Arches have since released a debut EP ‘Under The Marble Arches’ (2018) and subsequent singles which have garnered support from the likes of BBC Introducing, leading to an in-studio session along with featuring on VEVO’s Incoming Rock Playlist. Priding themselves on their live prowess, The Marble Arches won Bingley Weekender’s Emerging Talent Competition in 2019, leading to opening the main stage, playing alongside the likes of Idles, Echo & The Bunnymen and Miles Kane.
