Indie Rocker Quinny to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Rumours, releases Live Session recording

Recorded at Old Hairdressers, Glasgow, the single is a welcome sight for anyone missing a little Brit-Era Indie in their life. Complete with its rapid guitar stabs and even faster drum fills, Rumours is an absolute showcase for Quinny’s talents as an endlessly relatable singer-songwriter. Rumours’ lyrics touches on pop-punk sensibilities as its artist brings a raw and powerfully vulnerable quality to the track.

Rumours’ Live Session is the latest entry in Quinny’s long-standing musical career full of impressive feats for the independent artist. The Paisley-born musician has toured the USA, recruited British acting legend Richard Wilson (BBC’s One Foot in the Grave, Merlin, Tutti Fruitti) for his 2019 holiday music video Christmas Gear, and is one half of the comedy rap project Jimmy Lit whose first album is due to release July 25th of this year.

Quinny has also done extensive work to bring music to his communities beginning in Renfrewshire doing music groups with adults with disabilities, before running a youth music night in his hometown. This music night would come to have an impressive legacy of its own, having had Lewis Capaldi and Yungblud’s guitarist attending, as well as being where the group Vegan Leather formed.

While working at Camden’s Roundhouse, Quinny helped forge artistic, developmental opportunities for rising stars such as Little Simz, Freya Ridings and Skinny Pelembe. He also collaborated on creative projects for young people with artists such as Jamie Cullum, Dan Gillespie Sells (The Feeling), Trevor Horn, John Parish and Jane Weaver.

Rumours is releasing ahead of the artist’s next EP ‘Settlers’ due for release later this year.
