J. Telo and his project Yú brings Mexican folk to the World stage with debut single, ‘Recuerdos’

is the brand-new project created by Mexican musician J. Telo. Inspired by the many fascinating dualities of life, Yú kicks off their discography with the highly anticipated single, ‘Recuerdos’, a track that paired with the re-release of ‘Somos Flores’ on the same release date of March 22, is sure to propel Yú into the Latin and World Music spotlight. The album boasts over 20 musicians, including high-profile figures such as Felipe Tichauer (Best Latin Recording of the Year at the 2024 Grammys), Toro Canelo (Dancer and singer from the Seri Community in Sonora) participating in music videos, and various collaborators of worldwide names such as Lila Downs, Eugenia León, and C.Tangana. With over 20 years as working as musician for various singing groups and notable recording studios, Mexican artist J. Telo’s skill set and style has been developed to a level many aspire to. He has either recorded or played with Latin American artists such as Maldita Vecindad, Aterciopelados, Mon Laferte, Yahir, La Sonora Santanera de Carlos Colorado, Tini Stoessel, Nortec Panoptica Orchestra, Las Santa Cecilia, and his performances have graced various local and international stages, as well as festivals such as Vive Latino Mexico, Besame Mucho LA , California, Noches Blancas in Russia, Rock al Parque in Colombia, and Cervantino Festival Guanajuato. In 2019, he began to delve into production work, creating a track called ‘Somos Flores’, and while working on production for other artists, Telo has been focused on his career as a composer and producer of a project called Yú over the last two years.
