Cork-based singer-songwriter James Keegan arrives at the crossroads of indie, folk and pop. Performing across 10 countries, touring alongside Queensrÿche’s Geoff Tate and scoring four iTunes no. ones, there’s a clear momentum rolling forward as he blends timelessness and immediacy.

With the debut EP Teaching Our Teachers in June, James is releasing the new single ‘Feeling Grey (Teaching Our Teachers)’, teeing up a summer of anthems with this breakout songwriter at the centre.

Stadium-filling choruses that are magical and captivating, always taken through a guitar-driven, fiery lens. The track pairs driving indie instrumentation with the melodic undertones and Keegan’s resonating vocals.

James explains, “Feeling grey is about me growing up and reflecting on my youth as I grew to the mature age of 19! I recorded the album in Monique Recording Studios in Cork with producer Christian Best. We worked on most of the tracks ourselves and later got musicians in to share the work load. It was definitely different from my previous time in the studio, I felt more comfortable and willing to actually make things sound different to what I’m used to.”
