Jason Matu releases irresistible new single “Bob Dylan Jr.”

Jason Matu hasn’t always been a musician. His first career actually came in law, however, he released he desperately needed to follow his dreams. He started out by teaming up with musicain Adam Kruckenberg t0 make music in a new band called the Shapes on Tape. Jason Matu’s risk payed off, and with a loyal fanbase for his solo work, and growing back catalogue it’s clear to see that he’s working his way to the top.

Jason Matu is back with an infectious new offering called “Bob Dylan Jr.” The track is stripped back, but still impactful, featuring a powerful guitar and vocal combination that is sure to entice you in. Matu’s voice is drenched in personality, and is guaranteed to take you on a musical journey.

Speaking about the single, he says: “The tale of the musician son of Bob Dylan, an electrician from Zanesville, OH having no relation to the folk singer from Minnesota, “Bob Dylan Jr.” chronicles the rise of B.D.J.R. and his band, Beady Jar. Their ascent from precocious alternative rockers bringing the heat to parties and DIY venues in and around Ohio University to touring buzz band on the radar of major labels was as swift as B.D.J.R.’s rejection of the industry’s insistence that that he go by a name other than the one he chose for himself. B.D.J.R.’s muse, however, lasts as long as he does.”

In 2021, he released his debut solo album, “Dumb Ecstatic Bliss,” and in 2022 he released his second album, “Different Love” both to critical acclaim. With a fantastic reception from his previous releases, we can’t wait to see where he’ll take this.
