JaVill have released a beautiful new offering. Water came out last month and it’s a tough one to stop listening to. The Irish band have released only four songs to date and this one feels like the most honest; a real step up in songwriting.
Partly influenced by the lead singers struggles with addiction, Water is one of those songs that feels like it was written in one single stream of consciousness that just needed to get out. It was always there, just waiting to be found. The track is most obviously influenced by the likes of Radiohead, but also bands such as The National and Interpol.
The Dublin band have already had some success at home including being featured on Ireland’s main television station RTE 1, and are in line to be the next export from the Emerald Isle. As the band continue to grow and develop, it’s exciting to think of what could be next for JaVill.
