Jayd Ink collaborates with talented producer Los Hendrix on latest single ‘Queen St’

Toronto-based Jayd Ink is on a mission to make her mark on 2022. To help her with this task, Jayd linked up with SZA’s ‘Good Days’ producer Los Hendrix, who helped her elevate her unique style to a different level. ‘Queen St’ features her signature vocals which are silky smooth that is penned with emotion at the same time. The vocals are painted on top of a strong, infectious foundation that work hand in glove creating her enigmatic and intuitive single.

Speaking to us about the single she says: “A few years ago I was feeling stuck, lost in my thoughts and unmotivated. I was in my head a lot about my life, my purpose and what’s next. I felt like I was stuck in Toronto, not being able to travel like I used to, had me feeling a bit stagnant. I used to go for drives in the night time to see the empty streets during the lockdown. “Queen street”, one of the busiest streets in Toronto, was now almost vacant. I thought – perfect… but this song went through many stages, it was first called “Stuck in Toronto” until I met the producer Los Hendrix in Los Angeles. He played this beautiful melody that I fell in love with. What I had before didn’t feel the same so I rewrote it and named it – Queen St.

In 2018 Jayd Ink won her episode on the National TV Show “The Launch” where she was challenged to create a hit song in 48hrs. Ink currently has over 11.5 Million streams on Spotify alone. The challenges of being an independent artist has inspired Jayd Ink to build and create her own way. She has successfully collaborated and partnered with popular brands like Disney, Bacardi, Adidas, and Soundcloud. There are no boundaries or barriers for Jayd Ink, only possibilities as she gets set to reveal her upcoming EP ‘Catching Red Lights’.
