Luxembourg based, british indie artist Jayd (F.K.A Courtney Jayd Lumsden) releases her latest single ‘Lucid Lover’, a track about break up. ‘It took me all this time to put my words in rhyme about you’ is Jayd’s favourite line, as she never could or did write a song about her relationships until they were over.

London based rapper MIRARI MORE features on the track, Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Mirari emigrated to London aged 7, going from a sonic backdrop of afrobeat and afro-funk to grime and UK garage. Through the collaboration, we can hear elements of both artists’ backgrounds as the track takes on an old- school R&B soundscape, with indie electro swirls.
Written from the heart, her music is real and relatable, touching on themes ranging from mental health and anxiety to toxic relationships. She confides, “I am good at remembering stories people have told me and putting myself into someone’s shoes and writing from
